Is This Trekking for Me? How Difficult is the Luxury Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek?

The highest altitude on this trek is Kala Patthar, reaching 5,644 meters, while the second highest point is Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters. Trekking above 5,000 meters is rated as a demanding trek, but it is not overly challenging.

This itinerary is the shortest option available; however, it includes two acclimatization days at altitudes of 3,440 meters and 4,300 meters. These acclimatization days are essential for preventing unnecessary Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS).

While previous trekking experience is advantageous, all new trekkers are welcome to participate. To successfully complete this trek, you simply need to be physically fit and prepared to trek for a minimum of 4 hours to a maximum of 6-7 hours each day.

The best time to trek to Everest base camp by luxury helicopter:

The best months for this luxury trekking experience, considering the best weather, are October, November, and December. The second-best month in the spring season is March, followed by April and May. The monsoon season starts in Nepal in mid-June and ends by mid-September, so during these three months, the weather is not great. The trekking season begins in September, which means there are fewer hikers on the trail.
