What is the Deluxe Everest Base Camp Trek and what makes it Deluxe?
Situated at an altitude of 5364m, the base camp of Everest is the tallest peak on earth, and the deluxe Everest base camp trek is one of the most popular and highly recommended luxury style treks in Nepal. This trek is one of the shortest duration treks to reach the base camp of Mount Everest. Flying in and out of Lukla is the shortest way to start and end this most popular trek in the world. Some of the main highlights of the Everest trek are the spectacular Himalayan ranges, Tengboche monastery, and Kala Patthar.
Hiking and trekking to the highest points in the Himalaya, especially hiking and trekking to reach the base camps of Mount Everest and Kala Patthar, is a dream trip of a lifetime for all travelers. This outstanding adventure trekking starts right after 2 days of Kathmandu’s historical sightseeing and adjusts with Jet Lag if you are travelling from a long distance such as the USA or Canada. Our Everest base camp trek starts with a 35-minute scenic mountain flight to Lukla, one of the busiest small airports for all Everest treks and climbing peaks. We continue heading toward Namche Bazar, which is a Sherpa settlement at an altitude of 3440m, where we spend two days for first acclimatization.
From Namche, our Everest base camp trek begins with a visit to the famous Tengboche monastery, which offers the best views of the magnificent Ama Dablam mountain, where we will spend one night before continuing on to Pheriche for two days. We start acclimatization at an altitude of 4400m, and we hike to the highest elevation of Nagarjun to keep ourselves fit enough to adjust to the high altitude. After 2 days of trekking, we will finally reach our dream trekking destination—Everest Base Camp, 5364m. The next morning, for sunrise, we will hike to the highest point of this trek, Kala Patthar, 5644m. The main aim of this deluxe Everest base camp trek is to reach both Everest base camp and Kala Patthar. After this, we follow the same route back to Lukla and fly to Kathmandu.
