Deluxe Mera Peak Expedition-20 days
"One of the highest, non-technical, best-view trekking peaks in Nepal for an experience of a lifetime with the best itinerary"
What is the Deluxe Mera Peak Expedition & what makes it Deluxe?
The Deluxe Mera Peak Expedition is a premier trekking and climbing adventure trip in the Everest region of Nepal. Mera peak is said to be one of the highest trekking peaks, situated at an altitude of 6476m. Technically less difficult than other trekking peaks, this peak is a very popular trekking peak in Nepal. NETTA is a 25-year old expert local Sherpa trekking and mountaineering agency based in Kathmandu that offers a 21-day fully guided special cost package for Mera peak climbing. Even though Mera peak is not harder to summit or even if trekking is not much harder to reach, the views from the top of Mera peak are unforgettable. Once you are at the top of Mera peak (6476m), you will be mesmerized by the mesmerizing panoramic Himalayan views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and other grand peaks of the Himalaya.
Trekking and peak climbing like Mera Peak, which is an adventure trekking and climbing journey of a lifetime, starts and ends in Kathmandu. After two days of jet lag or cultural city sightseeing or trip preparation, you will take a 35-minute mountain flight to Lukla Airport, which is known as the Gateway to Mount Everest and other Himalayan peaks for trekking and climbing. From Lukla, there are two trails to trek toward Mera peak. Our package itinerary slowly starts through the less crowded trail of Panggom, the local Sherpa village. Before heading to the summit, we will already have acclimatized well to adjust to high altitude sickness. We have set up two full days of acclimatization at Thangnak and Khare before we push to the summit of Mera Peak. Please remember that two days in Thangnak and two days in Khare are very important acclimatization days and don’t avoid them.
Leaving the Khare, our Mera peak itinerary follows one overnight stay at Mera base camp and another overnight stay at High camp. Technically, Mera peak is said to be not that hard to climb. However, the route to reach Mera peak is longer than other trekking peaks of the Everest region. After a successful summit of Mera peak, you will return back to Khare and follow the trailhead to Lukla via a shorter way. The lodges or guest houses on the Mera Peak route are not as luxurious as those on the regular Everest base camp route, but we will accommodate you at the best available lodges or guest houses with hot showers or attached bathrooms, so this excellent climbing expedition is known as the Deluxe Mera Peak expedition. This is excellent and high-class oriented trekking and peak climbing in Nepal with us.

Is this trekking and climbing for me? How difficult is the Mera peak climbing expedition?
Mera peak expedition, like other peaks, requires physical fitness and basic climbing experience; however, because Mera peak is a less technical peak to summit, if you have previous experience trekking at an altitude of around or above 4000 m, you can easily climb this peak. The daily trekking hours are from 6–9 hrs. Once you have booked the trip with us, we advise you to start running, walking, or hiking in the hills or in the park. A daily minimum of 1-2 hrs. of cycling, jogging, or running can help a lot on this trip.
The best season for the Deluxe Mera Peak Expedition:
Like all other treks and climbing trips, the best time to trek and summit Mera peak is mid-September to mid-December, but the best core months in the fall season are mid-October to early December. In spring, the best months are April and May. June is early monsoon season and still okay to summit a peak. March is a nice spring month to climb Mera peak.

For many years, I have dreamt of trekking and climbing low-altitude mountains in Nepal. When I was researching trekking and climbing small mountains, I came across a Nepal trekking tours company that offers a special deluxe trekking and climbing trip in Nepal. I found their deluxe package of Mera peak climbing very attractive and worthwhile. So I have booked this expedition with Mr. Pasang Sherpa in November 2022. Pasang is very quick to respond and so helpful in planning this expedition with very proper information. So we two (my wife and I) booked the Mera Peak expedition with Nepal Trekking Tours. We were overjoyed to be in Nepal, and when he greeted us at Kathmandu Airport in the traditional Sherpa manner, we were overjoyed. were also offered a free welcome dinner, which was a great first day in Kathmandu.
On the trek, we had a very friendly and honest guide who always made sure that we were enjoying the trek. The lodges in this area do not have much higher standards, but our guide booked us in the cleanest and best available lodges every night. The most important thing is the itinerary. The itinerary set up on their website is a very well planned one. It is a very nice itinerary for acclimatization and safety purposes. We have finally reached the top of Mera peak, and the weather was perfect on the climbing day. The views from the top of Mera Peak were just amazing. Our porter and guide are so helpful for this trip. Without them, this trip couldn't be successful. All other services, such as a hotel in Kathmandu and airport transportation, are flawless and on time.
This is one of the best trekking agencies in Nepal and their deluxe Mera Peak itinerary and service are the best. They truly offer a deluxe trek service. We highly recommend this company in Nepal.
with best regards.

I traveled to EBC two years ago with another company, but this time I found the Mera Peak package, which seemed affordable and suited my requirements. Pre-trip planning with Pasang was excellent, whether via email or WhatsApp. He is excellent at handling everything and was very welcoming. He did exactly what he promised.
Our climbing guide, Pema Dorji, was perfect, and our porter, Dorji, was also great. The lodges along the way were upgraded, and I’m so happy that I could eat unlimited food and drinks. They even offered us a farewell cake, making the expedition the best experience ever.
The well-being of the trekkers was always the top priority for the team at Nepal Trekking Tourism & Adventure. They are so professional in their service—it’s truly a 5-star company. I will definitely use them for another trip and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Nepal.
